Abstract: Weekly time series of precipitation data from the San Francisco area at 2000 m a.s.l. at the measuring station FN2 located at the intersection of Camino Canal and Camino Zig-Zag. Precipitation was measured with 5 Hellmann-type pluviometers. The resulting weekly replicates of precipitation were volume-weighted and bulked to one sample per collecting interval. Electrical conductivity and pH values were measured immediately in unfiltered aliquots in the laboratory at the ECSF.

Abstract:	Weekly time series of measured concentrations of A... Abstract: Weekly time series of measured concentrations of Al, Mn, Zn, Cl, PO4-P, Total P, NH4-N, NO3-N, Total N, S, K, Na, Mg, Ca and Total organic C in throughfall in the ECSF area in the microcatchment Q2 (transects Q2.1, Q2.2 and Q2.3). The weekly time series extends between March 1998 and May 2013. Throughfall was sampled with 20 Hellmann-type collectors per transect. Replicates were collected, volume-weighted and bulked to one sample per transect and collecting interval. Samples were immediately filtered (4-7 µm) in the laboratory of the ECSF and stored at -20 °C until transport in frozen state to Germany or to Switzerland for concentration measurements.

At the same time a new weather station called "Climate Station ECSF established 2010" was installed 3m beside the former ECSF weather station on the same measuring plot.

Climate Parameter Quality Check for site ECSF Checking modules: 1. Does a value exist? Quality flag is set to "d = missing" 2. Checking of site specific threshold value. If the value is not inbetween the thresholds the quality flag is set to "c = out of range": Windspeed max = 25 Global Radiation max = 1400 Air temperature in 2m max = 30 Air temperature in 2m min = 5 Air humidity max = 99.9 Air humidity min = 10 3. Checking the plausibility of air temperature and air humidity within the measurement intervals by comparing the previous and current values. If the temperature amplitude is higher then 10°C and humidity amplitude is higher than 30% the plausibility of this variation is checked by comparing to the variation of the other parameter. The quality flag is set to "e = variation implausible". 4. Precipitation check If precipitation is more than 25 mm then quality flag is set to "c = out of range" If precipitation is more than 15 mm and air temperature increases more than 0.2 °C inbetween a temporal interval then quality flag is set to "e = variation impossible". 5. Relative air humidity values are corrected by a standarized method and quality flag is set to "m = manually corrected". 6. Wind direction is not quality checked and flag is set to "nqc = not quality checked" All other values are set to "a = valid".

Abstract: The mycobionts of 103 terrestrial and epiphytic orchid individuals, sampled in the RBSF from permanently estabished orchid plots, were identified by sequencing the whole ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region and part of 28S rDNA. Tulasnellales, Sebacinales and for the first time Atractiellales were found.
