Operational taxonomic units (OTUs) of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) detected in roots sampled at the 2000m NUMEX sites in October 2010.

The mycobionts of 103 terrestrial and epiphytic orchid individuals, sampled in the RBSF from permanently estabished orchid plots, were identified by sequencing the whole ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region and part of 28S rDNA. Tulasnellales, Sebacinales and for the first time Atractiellales were found.

Plots were established by members of UTPL, Dr. Juan Pablo Suarez and his coworkers, on the orchid regeneration land slide, on basis of T1 and in uppar part of T2 as given by geographic parameters. All laboratory work was carried out by the UTPL group mentioned above.

Beschreibung: Hier sind die Ergebnisse der Auswertungen der hemisphärischen Bilder mit dem Programm HemiView Canopy Analysis Software (Version 2.1 SR1, Delta T Devices Ltd., www.delta-t.co.uk) angegeben.
Weiterhin sind die Ergebnisse der Vermessungen an den Messpunkten angegeben.
In der Übersicht sind die Mittelwerte (Zeile 6-14), die Standardabweichungen (Zeile 23-31) und die Variationskoeffizienten (Zeile 40-48) angegeben.

This dataset has been migrated from the previous FOR402-Database to the FOR816-Database by the Central Data Management Z1/FOR816.
Please keep in mind that the migration included all avilable metainfomation which were accessible through the FOR402-Database. Nevertheless, it can't be guaranteed that no thematic misinterpretation occured in the data/attribute description.
There has been no further disciplin specfic control. In any case of ambiguity please contact the dataset creator.

Quality assessment ECSF climate station hourly data: Version 2; Dataset supersedes ver. 1 which is left for reference. Please be aware, that aggregated values may be wrong, due to the data gaps. This is especcially critical for precipitation. Variables: Ta2m =Air Temperature at 2 m (T) PCP = Precipitation at 1 m (P) Huma_2m = relative humidity at 2m (rH) Irradiation = global radiation at 2 m (gRad), widspeed. Emitted radiation, wind direction and soil-temperatures are not yet published For each variable, a measure of uncertainty is given in the original dimension. This value can be considered as the potential deviation from real conditions. Where no parallel measurements exist, the uncertainty is given as the standard deviation of that difference. GPS points of the ECSF_PINOS PLOT, original files and corrected with the NCI GPS data.

Abundance of vascular epiphytes (incl. hemiepiphytes) in 10 x 10 m plots across a land-use gradient.
All samples (columns) give abundance data for vascular epiphyte assemblages in plots of 10x10 meters. PT = Handtuchfläche secondary forest (RSF), Ai = secondary forest at Arco Iris (Ai1: around Ai-building, Ai2-plots on neighbouring ridge towards W), Q2 = Quebrada 2 (RSF), Q5 = Quebrada 5 (RSF), PP = Pinus plantation above ECSF, LC = Loma Chamusqiuín (1-4: secondary forest below Loja-Zamora road, 5-8: secondary forest above Loja-Zamora road). SF = tall secondary forest at RSF, DF = tall degraded forest at RSF; MF = mature (undisturbed) forest at RSF.

AMF root colonization of roots extracted from the upper soil layer (5cm) at all NUMEX plots. Roots are stained with Trypan Blue, AMF root colonization is examined by the line-intersect method.

Monthly measurement of soil temperature and soil gas fluxes (CO2, N2O) in the NUMEX plots in Bombuscaro, ECSF und Cajanuma

Monthly measurements of gas fluxes were performed using static vented chambers.
Soil temperature was taken simultaneously with gas measurements.
