Monthly measurement of soil temperature and soil gas fluxes (CO2, N2O) in the NUMEX plots in Bombuscaro, ECSF und Cajanuma

Monthly measurements of gas fluxes were performed using static vented chambers.
Soil temperature was taken simultaneously with gas measurements.

Corrected plots from Bombuscaro, ECSF, Cajanuma, Zamora and Laipuna region as shape files.

Soil texture were sampled in the young landslide in front of the station, on the other side of the San Francisco river. Soil samples were analysed in the laboratory of the University of Bayreuth.

Orthomosaic containing Georeferenced NDVI Values from ecsf forest aquired with a low flying UAV.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal root colonization (%), colonized root length (cm/cm³) and fine root parameters in response to nutrient additions (N, P and NP) are reported. Samples were taken in October 2010 at the NUMEX plots at 2000m.

This dataset extends dataset ECSF Climate station best estimate Ver. 2 (id: 1415)
Basis of extension is the raw data of ECSF Thies Station. Various gaps are filled with stations nearby: ECSF Campbell Station, ECSF Pluvio, Campbell Tower Scintillometer Station, Campbell Tower ECOv station and Thies pasture station. The known drift in the Thies temperature sensor is corrected with regression methods based on the ECSF Campbell station temperature.

Caution! Humidity seems to be too high, further checks necessary.

Operational taxonomic units (OTUs) of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) detected in roots sampled at the 2000m NUMEX sites in October 2010.

Quality assessment ECSF climate station hourly data: Version 2; Dataset supersedes ver. 1 which is left for reference. Please be aware, that aggregated values may be wrong, due to the data gaps. This is especcially critical for precipitation. Variables: Ta2m =Air Temperature at 2 m (T) PCP = Precipitation at 1 m (P) Huma_2m = relative humidity at 2m (rH) Irradiation = global radiation at 2 m (gRad), widspeed. Emitted radiation, wind direction and soil-temperatures are not yet published For each variable, a measure of uncertainty is given in the original dimension. This value can be considered as the potential deviation from real conditions. Where no parallel measurements exist, the uncertainty is given as the standard deviation of that difference. Measurements of gas flux (CO2, CH4, N2O) in canopy soils of NUMEX plots on four dates (Sept/Nov 2011 and Jan/April 2012). Measurements were taken in 3 of the 4 NUMEX blocks at each elevation; treatments measured included C, N, NP and P.

Gas fluxes were measured by incubating intact soil cores.
Gas samples were analyzed on a gas chromatograph with a FID and ECD.
Note that the units for CO2 are mg CO2-C m-2 h-1 (not g CO2-C).

"Orthomosaic containing Georeferenced Band Values from Laipuna pasture acquired with a low flying UAV."

Weekly time series of measured concentrations of Al, Mn, Zn, Cl, PO4-P, Total P, NH4-N, NO3-N, Total N, K, Na, Mg, Ca and Total organic C in precipitation in the ECSF area at the FN3 site on T2 near the ECSF meteorological station. The weekly time series extends between May 2000 and May 2013. Precipitation was sampled with 5 Hellmann-type collectors. Replicates were collected, volume-weighted and bulked to one sample per plot. Samples were immediately filtered (4-7 µm) in the laboratory of the ECSF and stored at -20 °C until transport in frozen state to Germany or to Switzerland for concentration measurements.

The mycobionts of 103 terrestrial and epiphytic orchid individuals, sampled in the RBSF from permanently estabished orchid plots, were identified by sequencing the whole ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region and part of 28S rDNA. Tulasnellales, Sebacinales and for the first time Atractiellales were found.

Plots were established by members of UTPL, Dr. Juan Pablo Suarez and his coworkers, on the orchid regeneration land slide, on basis of T1 and in uppar part of T2 as given by geographic parameters. All laboratory work was carried out by the UTPL group mentioned above.

In der Übersicht sind die Mittelwerte (Zeile 6-14), die Standardabweichungen (Zeile 23-31) und die Variationskoeffizienten (Zeile 40-48) angegeben.
