Title
:
|
calculating spatial air temperature maps |
Description
:
|
Based on observation data, the calculation of the spatial air temperature is conducted by using a straightforward detrending technique.
- determination of average monthly lapse rates for all open-sites
- detrending to calculate the base level temperature of open-sites
- merging resulting temperatures with a DEM
- merging the three open-site air temperatures (pasture, forest, sub-paramo) with respect to the land cover classification
- real air temperature with regard of the relative forest cover per pixel is calculated by combining the open-site air temperature map with teh inside-forest air temperature map
The method is described in more detail in the cited article. |
