Ammonium heptamolybdate and potassium antimony(III) oxide tartrate react in an acidic medium with dialysed and diluted solutions of phosphate to form an antimony-phospho-molybdate complex. This complex is reduced to an intensely blue-coloured complex by L(+)ascorbic acid. The complex is measured at 880 nm. |
