Projects Intro
The seven scientific projects cover different aspects of SSF, from its investigation by artificial forcing, i.e. sprinkling experiments, detailed investigations of subsurface structures and the resulting pathways, a larger scale comparison of hillslope contributing area and pathways, the transformation of the SSF signal (its physical and chemical signature) that is generated on the slope but transformed by the riparian zone filter, the larger scale spatio-temporal patterns of subsurface hillslope-stream connectivity and the development and validation of hydrograph-based indices for SSF, the investigation of novel tracers for SSF and finally model benchmarking
