Abstract: Weekly time series of precipitation data from the San Francisco area at 2000 m a.s.l. at the measuring station FN3 located at the climate station on T2. Precipitation was measured with 5 Hellmann-type pluviometers. The resulting weekly replicates of precipitation were volume-weighted and bulked to one sample per collecting interval. Electrical conductivity and pH values were measured immediately in unfiltered aliquots in the laboratory at the ECSF.

Abstract:	Rainfall data from the ECSF area in hourly resolut... Abstract: Rainfall data from the ECSF area in hourly resolution at the FN2 site located at the intersection of Camino Canal and Camino Zig-Zag. Rainfall was measured with an automatic rain gauge (Campbell ARG100, Palo Alto, USA) coupled with a HOBO H07-002-04 datalogger (Onset, Bourne, USA). Event-based recordings were aggregated to hourly data. Rain events occuring during one hour interval were aggregated to the next full hour. Climate Parameter Quality Check for site ECSF Checking modules: 1. Does a value exist? Quality flag is set to "d = missing" 2. Checking of site specific threshold value. If the value is not inbetween the thresholds the quality flag is set to "c = out of range": Windspeed max = 25 Global Radiation max = 1400 Air temperature in 2m max = 30 Air temperature in 2m min = 5 Air humidity max = 99.9 Air humidity min = 10 3. Checking the plausibility of air temperature and air humidity within the measurement intervals by comparing the previous and current values. If the temperature amplitude is higher then 10°C and humidity amplitude is higher than 30% the plausibility of this variation is checked by comparing to the variation of the other parameter. The quality flag is set to "e = variation implausible". 4. Precipitation check If precipitation is more than 25 mm then quality flag is set to "c = out of range" If precipitation is more than 15 mm and air temperature increases more than 0.2 °C inbetween a temporal interval then quality flag is set to "e = variation impossible". 5. Relative air humidity values are corrected by a standarized method and quality flag is set to "m = manually corrected". 6. Wind direction is not quality checked and flag is set to "nqc = not quality checked" All other values are set to "a = valid".
