Abstract:
Weekly time series of water fluxes, pH, electrical conductivity and measured concentrations of Al, Cu, Mn, Zn, Cl, PO4-P, Total P, NH4-N, NO3-N, Total N, S, K, Na, Mg, Ca and Total organic C in stem flow in the ECSF area in the microcatchment Q2. The weekly time series extends between March 1998 and December 2016. Stem flow was sampled weekly in Q2.1 with polyurethane collars on 5 representative tree species: Piptocoma discolor (Kunth) Pruski, Heliocarpus americanus L., Sapium glandulosum (L.) Morong, Cyathea caracasana (Klotzsch) Domin, Cecropia angustifolia Trécul. The five stem flow samples were collected, volume-weighted and bulked to one sample per per collecting interval. Samples were immediately filtered (4-7 µm) in the laboratory of the ECSF and stored at -20 °C until transport in frozen state to Germany or to Switzerland for concentration measurements.
