Abstract:	Abundance of vascular epiphytes (incl. hemiepiphyt... Abstract: Abundance of vascular epiphytes (incl. hemiepiphytes) in 10 x 10 m plots across a land-use gradient. All samples (columns) give abundance data for vascular epiphyte assemblages in plots of 10x10 meters. PT = Handtuchfläche secondary forest (RSF), Ai = secondary forest at Arco Iris (Ai1: around Ai-building, Ai2-plots on neighbouring ridge towards W), Q2 = Quebrada 2 (RSF), Q5 = Quebrada 5 (RSF), PP = Pinus plantation above ECSF, LC = Loma Chamusqiuín (1-4: secondary forest below Loja-Zamora road, 5-8: secondary forest above Loja-Zamora road). SF = tall secondary forest at RSF, DF = tall degraded forest at RSF; MF = mature (undisturbed) forest at RSF. Geogr. coordenates still need to be added. Contact: florianwerner@yahoo.com

Abstract:	The mycobionts of 103 terrestrial and epiphytic or... Abstract: The mycobionts of 103 terrestrial and epiphytic orchid individuals, sampled in the RBSF from permanently estabished orchid plots, were identified by sequencing the whole ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region and part of 28S rDNA. Tulasnellales, Sebacinales and for the first time Atractiellales were found.

Additional info: Plots were established by members of UTPL, Dr. Juan Pablo Suarez and his coworkers, on the orchid regeneration land slide, on basis of T1 and in uppar part of T2 as given by geographic parameters. All laboratory work was carried out by the UTPL group mentioned above.
