Monthly aggregated time series of litterfall in the ECSF area in the microcatchment Q2. Litterfall was sampled weekly on the 3 transects of Q2 (Q2.1, Q2.2, Q2.3) with 3 polyethylene mesh collectors (0.5 x 0.5 m) per transect. The samples were dried at 40 °C for one week and the mass of the dry litterfall was recorded. The masses of the 3 replicates at upper, middle and lower slope were averaged per transect and collecting interval and subsequently aggregated per month and transect.
