Palynological assessment of a core from the Tres Lagunas region in the Quimsacocha volcanic basin about 30 km southwest of Cuenca. The core was taken in 2007 and analysed in 2010.

This dataset has been migrated from the previous FOR402-Database to the FOR816-Database by the Central Data Management Z1/FOR816.
Please keep in mind that the migration included all avilable metainfomation which were accessible through the FOR402-Database. Nevertheless, it can't be guaranteed that no thematic misinterpretation occured in the data/attribute description.
There has been no further disciplin specfic control. In any case of ambiguity please contact the dataset creator.

Geometrid moths caught during the PHD-thesis of Nadine Hilt in 2002 and 2003 are included. For additional information see references cited for the main dataset (list of specimens).

The mycobionts of 103 terrestrial and epiphytic orchid individuals, sampled in the RBSF from permanently estabished orchid plots, were identified by sequencing the whole ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region and part of 28S rDNA. Tulasnellales, Sebacinales and for the first time Atractiellales were found.

Plots were established by members of UTPL, Dr. Juan Pablo Suarez and his coworkers, on the orchid regeneration land slide, on basis of T1 and in uppar part of T2 as given by geographic parameters. All laboratory work was carried out by the UTPL group mentioned above.

The table is a  list of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi with their host plants. The sequences are deposited in the NCBI GenBank.
