automatic air temperature, relative humiditiy, soil moisture,  suction power potential, ohotosyntetic active radiation, global radiation and wind speed measurements; measaured in 5 minute intervall

Climate data measured by automatic Thies weather station of the working group B2.

The data are quality checked by a standardised method.

Checking modules:

1. Does a value exist?
Quality flag is set to 
"d = missing"

2. Checking of site specific threshold value.
If the value is not inbetween the thresholds the quality flag is set to "c = out of range":
Windspeed max = 10
Global Radiation max = 1400
Globar Radiation max Down = 250
Soil temperature in 10cm depth max = 40
Soil temperature in 10cm depth min = 15
Soil temperature in 60cm depth max = 25
Soil temperature in 60cm depth min = 15
Air temperature in 2m max = 35
Air temperature in 2m min = 5
Air humidity max = 100
Air humidity min = 10

3. Checking the plausibility of air temperature and air humidity within the measurement intervals by comparing the previous and current values.
If the temperature amplitude is higher then 10°C and humidity amplitude is higher than 30% the plausibility of this variation is checked by comparing to the variation of the other parameter.  
The quality flag is set to "e = variation implausible".

4. Precipitation check
If precipitation is more than 40 mm then quality flag is set to "c = out of range"
If precipitation is more than 15 mm and air temperature increases more than 0.2 °C inbetween a temporal interval then quality flag is set to "e = variation impossible".

5. Relative air humidity values are corrected by a standarized method and quality flag is set to "m = manually corrected".

6. Wind direction is not quality checked and flag is set to "nqc = not quality checked"

All other values are set to "a = valid".
