This dataset contains monthly average fog frequencies for Europe. <br/> Time period covered: 2006-01-01 to 2015-12-31<br/> The masks are based on Meteosat Second Generation data that were processed based on the algorithm described in Egli, S., Thies, B. & Bendix, J. (2018). A Hybrid Approach for Fog Retrieval Based on a Combination of Satellite and Ground Truth Data. Remote Sensing. 2018.
